Kitchen chair slipcovers

Before:
very nice, but not practical with little boys!

After:

My mother-in-law gave us her dinning room table-which is really nice-our was going to need a face lift this summer-the only problem was that the seats are a light tan-fabric, not so good with a 2 and 4 year old! So I decided to make some slipcovers for them. We had thought about just recovering however slipcovers I can just unbutton and throw in the wash!! A fabric store near us is going out of business and I was able to get a good deal on the fabric. They were really easy to sew, but it took me a little while to make the pattern. I love them! But the best part is they don't show anything!!! Yeah for plaid!

  1. Those are great! Being able to wash them is a fabulous idea. Our chairs were originally WHITE, and they have been recovered several times. I swore next time I'd cover them with plastic over whatever fabric I chose! LOL!
