No. 19-the boys bunk beds

Before:
it is hard to tell from this picture, but parts of the rails had been chewed on and sawed on-took lots of wood filler. Originally I had thought of staining them an espresso color, but they needed to much wood patching and filling.
After:
I should have got the shot before I moved them into the room, but oh well-if you live close you can just come see them:)

So this summer I got a steal of a deal on these bunk beds. They were marked 20, but everything in the thrift store is always 1/2 off and they were missing a side rail so they ende up costing 8. However they had been "well-loved" shall we say and needed lots of TLC aka, sanding, filling, striping and painting. I finally finished them and LOVE them. So does Joey he call them his "Up Beds."

  3. I have three boys (7, 5 and 2) and they would LOVE to have bunk beds like these! It really never even occurred to me that thrift stores might have them (I don't know why), but I will have to go shopping! Great job on the makeover.
